About Us
Quackers Call Ducks was founded by Amelia Shilton, with the aim of providing top-quality call ducks to members of the public all around the UK and Europe. Quackers Call Ducks is a professional hobby for Amelia, and therefore she always makes sure that the birds' every needs are lovingly tended to and is also less focused on profit and more focused on the quality of the birds, their habitat, the food they are fed on and the overall welfare of the birds, as well as the stock themselves.
As the name suggests, Quackers only breeds call ducks, predominately of the abacot and silver varieties. All of our breeding stock members have achieved prize cards at at least one PCGB Championship Show, with the majority having claimed a prize at either the British Waterfowl Association, National or Federation shows. All of our stock are derived from the country's best lines, such as the Lovell line.
Quackers Call Ducks prides itself on its professionalism, and have a dedicated team waiting to answer your every question.
By breeding in small numbers in an idyllic, rural location, we are able to raise our birds in the best possible surroundings so they can show their true colours. The birds are always fed on the best possible food and are allowed to roam on fresh pasture and meadowgrasses before snuggling down for the night in spacious, airy, brick outbuildings. We feel that this process of rearing, rather than an intensive method, allows the birds to live life to the fullest.

Abacot Call Duck Pair

What is one word to describe the abacot call? Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. The drake has a rich, claret breast with the chubby body and minute beak that is archetypal of a call duck, with a piano-black tail and white underbelly. The duck is, perhaps, even more stunning; she has a fawn hood and white underbelly, completed with freckles of orange and black swooping down her breast. Who wouldn't want a pair of such lovely ducks?
